Hot Tip - About Salary Increases

If it's pay rise time, you may want to be a little more creative this year. Everybody likes to hear they're getting a pay rise and the more times they hear it, the more they like it. So why not hold a little back from the annual pay rise budget for use later in the year?

For example, if your telephone staff are to receive a £800 pay rise this year, why not give them £500 now and two £150 rises during the year.

You could either give a pay rise in the month before you know motivation usually drops to prevent people leaving, or make the subsequent rises dependent on some kind of telephone service performance improvement.
